Romanian Blouse Day

It's really heartwarming and tearjerking when small initiatives find their echo in a wider community. And this is why I have loved and followed 'La Blouse Roumaine', the mastermind behind making the traditional Romanian blouse a staple of national identity and pride, in an era when we're being told that we should dismiss the past and only look to the future.

Befriending colour

It pains me to tell you that I was feeling like taking some outfit photos and so afterwards, I was left all dressed up with my hair done and a full face of makeup and no idea where to go out!

Fashion is a work of art

I cannot express the amount of love I have for my new bag! I did a little impromptu balcony photo shoot in a spring inspired outfit to showcase it best but the changing light was just not on my side.

My outfit consists of a last season Massimo Dutti mint green shirt, a Benetton knitted long jumper, Oliver Bonas feather necklace and black leggings. The tan-peach Gianni Conti bag did most of the talking though.

I got it from the Cambridge TKMaxx...I was meant to be at a post offer open day but somehow ended up doing a little shopping, that never happens! (sense the sarcasm) I really recommend it for bags, they have a great selection. I can see it being filled with tons of books, folders and my laptop for a day around campus or as a weekend bag because it can fit a whole three outfits which is a real feat.

New Year's Eve

Hello 2014!

Although 5 days late, I couldn't skip a new year's post. Since stepping into the new year, I've made new friends, travelled 6 hours on a train, made life decisions, said goodbye to my best friend, flew to London, lost our suitcases and got some amazing news... I can't believe how much I take time for granted and the last two weeks in Romania have had such an impact on how I appreciate the present.

This year, more than ever, I need to stick to my resolutions. Not because they are 'trendy' or anything of the sort but because I feel I need to grow into my own shoes. Therefore, I compiled a list of a few aims for 2014:

  • worry less
  • be wiser when it comes to people
  • be more confident with my decisions
  • speak your mind
  • don't be a pushover
  • take every opportunity there is
I have all my faith put into 2014 and how can I not when so many amazing things will happen (me turning 18 -hurray- going to Uni and travelling in Europe with my best friend). I can't wait!

Credits to my best friend for the photos ^.^
