Summer dressing

There's nothing easier than throwing a pretty dress on and going out to enjoy the sun.

Time to think of summer!

Oysho bikini (HERE); Victoria's Secret Linen Beach Trousers (HERE); Asos body chain (HERE); River Island sunnies (HERE); Nivea in shower moisturiser (HERE)

Dreaming of my impending trip to the sandy beaches, I cannot wait! I'm very into the blue and yellow combination for bikinis, I think it looks very flattering even when you haven't quite gotten enough of a tan.
The other thing I know I'll be relying on is the Nivea moisturiser, it's truly a life saver! You know that feeling when you're just too lazy and too in rush to properly massage body lotion into your skin only to have your cold shirt stick to the cream? Yep, nothing to do with this one! You simply apply on clean skin and rinse off and you're left with about 12 hours' worth of smooth skin, fragrant with the signature Nivea smell (they do have other scents too)!

Touchdown in Camden Town

You can clearly tell these pictures were taken a few weeks ago; there's no trace of sun or blue skies for a hundred miles in each cardinal direction.
I thought I'd make a short travel post about London. Weirdly enough, one of the biggest cities in the world and I somehow avoid doing posts on visiting London. Anyway, for my friend's birthday we went on a tour of east and north-east London starting from the O2 arena to the Emirates Airline cable car (so not worth the hype or money really) to Camden Town.
After changing from DLR to railway to tube (don't ask me how, I have no idea) we arrived in around Camden Town area but 2 tube stops away...which meant we got lost for about an hour, walking around and trying to get to Camden market. We did however see the Arsenal stadium and I really like the shot of the concrete letters at the entrance, very arty if I say so myself.
To be put in a few words, Camden market is a cacophonous place of bohemians and mohawks and it's quite easy to get lost. That being said, it's also quite easy to find hidden gems and I dreaded the fact that I only had £5 with me. Not advisable I tell you.
In an open air market full of food stalls I found one of the best crepe places since Paris and indulged a little in a massive Nutella pancake. I wish I could say I exercised it off but that would be a lie. And as if this wasn't enough, we ended up eating at Shaka Zulu, a restaurant/bar about which I had read in an article entitled 'Weird places to eat in London'. Promising no?
It's known for the Harrods-like interior with full wooden panelling and life size sculptures inspired by African culture and quite strange dishes like the zebra and ostrich burgers we had. They didn't taste of anything strange in particular so we're not completely convinced that's what we had.
And finally, a cheeky little outfit post kindly taken by my friend who had to put up with my horrible posing.
It was unbelievably hot that day so I whipped out my Anthropology Holding Horses shorts for the first time in London (!) and paired them with a super-sheer Zara top, Hobbs' platform sandals, my trusty Zara shopper and Moschino sunglasses for when the sun was just too generous. Something for which it is probably compensating now...

Summer heat

Writing from the Bucharest quarters, reporting proper summer weather and lots and lots of good food. I've landed on Monday evening and so far, have done a shopping tour de force to get acquainted with my hometown again.
I'm presently feeling a little disconnected. Not that I feel like a stranger, not at all, but it just feels like I'm an outsider of what I used to be and it's quite hard to come to terms with the differences that time and places have created. Maybe I expect too much or maybe it's temporary, I don't know but I'm sure to find out.

I need to thank my amazing hairdresser, Georgiana, for the haircut and highlights ^.^ Now this is what I call summer time fun. I was wearing a TK Maxx bag and sunglasses, Asos top, Gap shorts from 5 years ago and Aldo wedges also from about 4 years ago.
I also took the liberty to show some of the stuff I got from Baneasa Shopping City and Vitan Mall. Firstly, the all important BLUE swimsuit - finally, not pink! I mixed and matched from goldenpoint and I can't wait to wear it.

Next up was an obligatory trip to Oysho where I found the perfect strapless bra on sale. Just too much to resist to!
Then found the perfect beach outfit in the Zara sales with these short shorts and a linen top. I can't wait for a possible trip to the seaside *fingers crossed*

And last but not least, this cute baby doll dress in an etno print from Promod. I'm getting slightly obsessed with red or green for the summer. I think I work in complementary colors...
