The 'Eat Clean' Office challenge
In July, I will be doing work experience - which means I'll be sitting down and facing a screen for a month. Not exactly healthy, so I'm compensating with my diet by trying to cook my own meals and come up with healthy lunch-box friendly recipes every day. Yeah, wish me luck.

How to style culottes | Part I
These were very much the definition of a post-exam impulse buy in Zara. Actually my friend Grace had been going on and on about how I should try culottes but let's be frank with ourselves and admit that judging them worn by the likes of Karlie Kloss is neither realistic nor will it make them less intimidating.
Yup, culottes are by definition sartorially scary. What do you do with the awkward length that can only be compared to basketball shorts - not my idea of stylish. Do you go for print or plain? High waisted or hip grazing? Flowy or structured? Just so many damn options, you're bound to give up from the very start.

Menu du jour | student edition
Tuesdays are a god sent day of no lectures which means 2 things: I live in my pijamas till about lunchtime and then I make things more adventurous than pasta or sandwiches.

Sugary luxury at Cafè Gerbeaud
Not so long ago I was listening to George Ezra whilst strolling in Budapest. It was sunny, it was grand, it had the aura of imperial glory. When in Budapest it's almost a shame not to indulge, be it in photos of beautifully lit up buildings or deserts, as is the case.
What England lacks and Budapest abounds in is cafe culture - places ranging from established to hip, from budget to luxury, from traditional to experimental. You name it, Budapest has it.
Me, I am by default drawn to the expensive and preferably rococo places, it's in my genes, I really can't help it. Which is how, long story short, I sampled the deserts at Cafè Gerbeaud.

Happy Easter!
These are my last days at home and thank God for the food. All the guilty feels are here but when the sun is out and spring is very much here I can hardly contain all the excitement - in this case it manifested itself in my outfit choice which, for the first time in a long long while, didn't contain any black. Praise the Lord indeed.

Impressions of Florence
Two weeks later here I am, memories of Florence still fresh in my mind and pile of revision prompting me to find any excuse of procrastination. I swear if anyone asks why I have a blog that the most honest answer is to procrastinate efficiently and productively - as if that was ever a thing. So let's keep it short and sweet whilst I virtually walk you through my favourite haunts in the Renaissance jewel that is Florence.

And we're off again!
I'm trying to decide whether I like having my life neatly packed in one (huge) suitcase. I wouldn't necessarily classify myself as a materialistic person but damn is it hard to leave stuff behind. What if I'll suddenly decide to make that brigt pink jumper work while away? And what if I finally decide to start that novel that's been gathering dust on my nightstand?

What I'd call a perfect weekend
Term's almost done and the trip to Florence fast approaching (expect a ton of photos on here). That didn't mean that I couldn't treat myself to a weekend city break to London to see my mum.

Taking on monochrome
Looking out my window to the ever-green pastures surrounding my college, it couldn't be further from the bustle and grey concrete of Bucharest's streets. You'd think concrete grey architecture wouldn't be my own choice but when the whole city is dusted (a bit of an understatement) with snow, it turns into something out of fairytale books.

Lazy is my middle name
Lounging about on a sunny winter morning surrounded by everything paisley and everything Oysho, my favorite brand for loungewear, pijamas and underwear. It's not a big surprise it's also a sister brand of Zara...I see a connection.

Dress your lips for Christmas
I'm not going to claim dark lip tones as an invention of mine since most bloggers and youtubers are sporting them but I will say they make it look so much easier than it actually is. Make up stands are brimming with choice but it can be -it certainly was for me- overwhelming to be facing 4 different shades of red and not know which one would suit you. I'm afraid I don't have a secret nor a quick solution, it's a case of trial and error, but I do have a recommendation so maybe that will help next time you're in Boots and having an existential crisis in the makeup aisle.

Uni update - I'm still around to tell the story
From the comfort of my home, I can now say I've survived my first term at Cambridge. Mind you, they're intense 2 month little suckers that drain the will to live out of you but I wouldn't trade the memories and experience for all the sleep in the world.
Okay then, shall we start chronologically and then I'll try and coherently word my opinions at the end? Right, let's begin on the 3rd of October, a fine sunny day in London...

Don't take this the wrong way but...
When did Photobooth photos become a 'guilty' pleasure? Oh wait...have they never been socially acceptable past the age of 12?
